Sustainability Statement
You Name It Creatives LLC Sustainability Statement:
At You Name It Creatives LLC, we understand our responsibility to care for the planet. It’s no secret that the construction industry produces a staggering amount of waste, and frankly, that sickens us. From day one, we’ve set out to defy that norm, making every effort to minimize our environmental footprint in every project we undertake.
We begin each job by calculating with precision how much material is needed, often completing projects with mere inches of scrap. But we don’t stop there. Any leftover materials are given new life. We build birdhouses, planters, and other creative pieces with what’s left over, and when we can’t use certain materials, we pass them on to local crafters who transform them into beautiful works of art.
While we can’t control how the materials we order are packaged, we make sure no trace of waste is left behind on our job sites. Every site is cleaned to its original state, if not better. And when it comes to the materials used in your home, we encourage sustainable choices. We take the time to educate our clients on the environmental harm caused by materials like PVC or composite decking, which release microplastics into our ecosystem. Though the final decision rests with you, we feel it’s our duty to offer the information so you can make an informed choice.
In our painting services, we avoid spray painting whenever possible. Spray paint not only harms the air we breathe but also impacts nearby plants and ecosystems. We always take into consideration the ground we’re working on, doing our best to protect the plant life and creatures around us before proceeding with any project.
When we encounter lead or asbestos, we handle it with great care. Our LEAD-safe renovation certification allows us to properly contain any lead we encounter during a project, ensuring that children, adults, plants, and animals are protected from toxic exposure. However, this certification does not permit us to remove lead or asbestos entirely—removal requires specialized remediation. That’s when we bring in vetted, trusted remediation companies. We thoroughly vet these companies to ensure they meet the highest standards, because your safety and the safety of our planet are our top priorities.
Our commitment is simple: protect the people we serve and the environment we all share. We believe that being good stewards of the Earth is part of doing good business.
